چکیده

Subject and Purpose. Results are presented of the solar corona investigations performed with world famous Ukrainian radio telescopes. The work has been aimed at offering a consistent review recent achievements in observations variety low-frequency emissions from Sun. Methods Methodology. studies quiet (thermal) sporadic (burst-like) Sun have car- ried out decameter-wavelength telescopes UTR-2, GURT URAN-2. Specific features sources presented, characterization optimized techniques that were applied each case for evaluating physical parameters areas wave generation. Results. analysis temporal, frequency spatial characteristics allowed suggesting number models coronal electron density distribution, magnetic field strengths corona. Also, our experimental results proven to be observational data obtained different ranges use both ground based space-borne instruments. Conclusions. permitted studying, high fre- quency resolutions, various localized sources. Along large effective area sensitivity antennas, this permits application wide range methods tools detecting analyzing bursts, strong weak intensity, against background terrestrial interference natural or artificial origin

Ix. Solar Radio Emission

The emission of solar flares at millimeter wavelengths is of great interest both in its own right and because it is generated by the energetic electrons which also emit gamma rays. Since high-resolution imaging at gamma-ray energies is not presently possible, millimeter observations can act as a substitute. Except for that class of flares known as gamma-ray flares the millimetric emission is op...

Catalogue of 1{3 Ghz Solar Flare Radio Emission

Solar ares frequently radiate in the 1{3 GHz range, the lowest frequency microwaves, but not much is known about the spectral shape of these emissions. We present a catalogue of selected bursts observed with a new spectrometer at ETH Zurich in the years 1989{1993. The original data set includes 268 events of various types. Featureless broadband continua generally attributed to gyrosynchrotron e...

Radio Emission of Solar Flare Particle Acceleration

The solar corona is a very dynamic plasma on time scales of decades to a few milliseconds. Radio missions provide diagnostic tools particularly suited for the analysis of non-thermal electron distributions, enhanced levels of various kinds of plasma waves and plasma phenomena related to electron acceleration in flares. Very intense coherent emissions are observed at frequencies below about 3GHz...

Radio cyclotron emission from extra-solar planets

We present results from an attempt to detect radio emission from the interaction between a transiting extra-solar planet and its host star. We determine a new upper limit of 47 mJy on the radio flux density from HD 189733b, in the frequency range 327–347 MHz.

Game Theoretic Issues in Cognitive Radio Systems (Invited Paper)

The ability to model independent decision makers whose actions potentially affect all other decision makers makes game theory attractive to analyze the performances of wireless communication systems. Recently, there has been growing interest in adopting game theoretic methods to cognitive radio networks for power control, rate adaptation and channel access schemes. This work presents several re...
